Fruit Ninja [by Halfbrick Studios] is genuinely beautiful casual game with simple yet addictive game-play. Your game will take the role of Ninja in this game, slicing various juicy fruits as they appear on the screen in 3D. It was recently brought to android platform and is insanely popular.
There are two modes to play, Zen and Classic. In Zen mode you have 90 seconds and in that time you need to slice as much fruit as possible and get as much points for that. Slashing 3 or more fruits at once doubles your points. In classic time doesn’t matter, what matter is precision – you have bombs flying around you don’t want to slice – also if you miss 3 fruits, you are over!
Execution of the game is quite nice, it’s 3D graphics are beautiful and smooth. Background music is what you may expect – relaxing Asian tunes. The game navigation is given more charm by adding slicing elements into it; for example to chose game mode you need to slice appropriate fruit.
The game also features rich achievements scheme, where for certain actions you get rewarded with a badge. This is worth mentioning because social layer of this game is present with OpenFeint and you can compete with your friends to see who scores higher and gets most achievements. With achievements you unlock new blades and backgrounds which you can change in Dojo.
Overall the game looks and feels great, and deserves the attention it is getting on various platforms. For $0.99 you get to have great mini time killer and show-off material on your Droid.
What I Like:
- Addictive casual game
- Beautiful graphics and execution
- Different blades and backgrounds
What I dislike:
- The game-play while nice, could get a little more action and variety. But it could be coming with new game mode.

Is there going to be an update that allows game center (multiplayer) on droid
I don’t think so, not in the near future anyway
An excellent addition to the pale and boring Blackberry
appworld Ninja Fruit Bash, even though a little work has to be done on the
graphics but it is still a great time killer. Ninja fruit Bash is currently no
4 in the top paid apps for the Blackberry. You can check it out here:
