MiniSquadron is an action flying game developed by supermono limited and brought to your Android device by OpenFeint. Yes, another one. The flying part of the game is executed in 2D. Controls are pretty common: left thumb controls directions and right thumb shoots. You control your planes direction in most intuitive manner possible, by pointing out an angle of it’s flight. Don’t fly too high tho – you may stall.

In single-player mode you have to defeat 12 waves of incoming rival planes on 8 levels. But there are more targets than that, there are occasional enemies on the ground. It may sound boring but with different types of weapon it’s actually fun, you just fly around and shoot everything that moves.

PapiJump is a free game for Android [by Sunflat] is yet another simple, addictive and free game for your phone (I don’t imagine you plating this on tablet). This game is pretty much the same as Doodle Jump for android, except that it is much more simplistic and free(!), so you can get is to test the water – see if you like this kind of game. In this game you control Mr. Papi by tilting your device (your device should have accelerometer, but I guess they all do have it those days).

Heavy Gunner 3D

Heavy Gunner 3D

Heavy Gunner 3D [by Com2uS] is one of the most popular games for android and it deserves to be. Not only will it put your skills to the test, it will also put your phone’s tech specs to the test. Is this awesome looking game with a killer name worth the 4.99$ I paid for it? If you’re in a hurry and willing to take my word for it then the short answer is yes. But if you feel like you can’t yet trust me and have a few minutes to spare, then this review is for you.

Blow Up

Blow Up

Blow up [by Camel Games] offers you a chance to blow shit up and makes you think a bit while you’re doing it, which personally I enjoy a lot. The game looks and feels great, but the sounds are just barely related to the actions which they accompany. Explosions sound like gun shots for some reason and even though there are 3 types of bombs they all sound like the same gun is being fired. A simple “Boooo!” would have been better than the sound of a snow storm as the “You lose” sound. Thank god you can listen to your music and play it with the sounds turned off.

Guns’N'Glory

Guns’N'Glory

Guns’n'Glory [by HandyGames] is a tower-defense like game, except that instead of towers you recruit cowboys, bandits, gringos and Indians to ambush settlers with you. So your journey begins with the map, which you will conquer, and many more others too.The game is simply a little revamped tower-defense style game, but it’s worth noticing that your recruits can walk around and pursue their target, unlike in most tower games, where you would need to demolish tower and build another one instead. Game controls are quite simple, nothing new here. To hire new bandit you simply wake sleeping one, and he will help you kill some settlers – with his gun or a pack of dynamite – depends on how much you pay.
